In the end of August I began taking musical improv classes at the People’s Improv Theatre (PIT)!
The first time I saw musical improv it was like watching magic happen onstage, and I never imagined I would try it for myself. A few years later here we are!
I spent 8 weeks learning song structures, memory techniques, and rhyming games to hone the tools required to improvise an entire musical. Working with a piano accompanist, who is also improvising, my class successfully performed opening numbers, group numbers, solos, duets and trios at our class show!
I’m already studying level two, and I can’t wait to dive deeper into this wacky world! Stay tuned for shows!
